Thank You Richard for making the world more beautiful! For your many gifts of Friendship & Love, your beautiful artwork & creativity, your wonder & admiration for life and your childhearted couriosity, your talents & skills, for always fixing our computers, for long conversations & philosophical thinking, for your deep understanding & gentle compassion of others, for the laughs you shared, for being our family & for taking care of family, friends & critters, for your appreciation of music & knowledge ~ Always new words.... My favorite Richard word ~ Ubiquitous ~ so appropriate ~ meaning " Presence everywhere or in many places simultaneously!" You Richard are Ubiquitous ~ everywhere at once and you know "Eggs-actly" what I'm talking about. We'll raise our glass and send a toast ~Thank You Richard for your wonderful gift of friendship! Much Love, Light & Many Blessings to you as you journey on in the spirit world. We miss you, Cheryl & Wayne

Dear Richard was a life force of kindness, companionship and loyalty to his friends. Bob and I knew Richard well during his Monterey days and were lucky indeed to know him. Richard and my husband Bob had a close friendship and loved talking all things military, and I especially enjoyed the get togethers with his special group of friends. It is sad to realize Richard is gone, but his memory and memories live on.
Sincerely, Susie Hughes Hammer

Some of my fondest memories of my brother-in-law Richard are the early years of our relationship when we spent together in both Ohio and Vermont. Although my favorite memory of Richard was his "surprise" visit arriving in his camper to attend his niece, Sarah´s high school graduation in Seattle. He was a curious, adventurous and caring soul whom I will miss. The photo Sarah shared is also how I remember him.

My deepest sympathy to Alan and David for their loss of Richard. He certainly was a free spirit and enjoyed his lifestyle to the limit.

When I think of my Uncle Richard, I think about his enduring curiosity. He asked lots of questions out of genuine desire to know more about the people he met, the places he visited, the ideas that sparked his imagination. This photo is how I remember him. May his spirit always be free.

My heartfelt condolences to the George family on Richard´s passing. I got to know Richard when he, Alan and myself shared our joy watching the Avon Lake eagles in their nest while awaiting the hatching of their baby eaglets. When one of us were watching, we would alert the other two that the eagles were in the nest. We learned of the commitment they had for their partner and their babies. I enjoyed Richard´s enthusiasm when he would witness something new that the baby eaglets accomplished. I always enjoyed our shared experiences. I did not know Rich long but I felt he was a gentle soul and felt privileged to have know him albeit a short time. I hope he is soaring high now with the eagles he so loved.
