Richard Lee Germain

Richard Lee Germain, loving husband, father, and grandfather, age 86, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at his home. He was born on January 3, 1936, in Vassar, Michigan to the late Harold and Eva (Traver) Germain.

He met and married the love of his life Verla Swenor in Coleman, Michigan on March 24, 1956. Together they shared 66 wonderful years full of love, laughter, and memories. Richard worked as a maintenance supervisor at the Genesee County Mental Health for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Good Shepherd Christian Fellowship Church for many years where he obeyed the Lord and formerly served as Vice Chairman of the Board. Richard also enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors. He also loved numerous types of animals, feeding and caring for them.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Ella (Dennis) Huff, Phillip Germain, and Corey (Angie) Germain; his daughter-in-law, Linda Germain; grandchildren, Kevin Fox, Anna Germain, Richard Germain, Eric Lauer, Bruce Lauer, Justine, Charity, Anthony, and Carrie Germain; along with several great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his son, Richard Germain; and by all of his brothers and sisters.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at McDonald's in Gladwin and the coffee club guys for their friendship over the years.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel. Richard Lee Germain Germain
