WEST PITTSTON — Richard A. Graci, 81, of West Pittston, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at his home.
Born in West Pittston, he was the son of the late Michael and Lena Chiampi Graci. Richard was graduate of West Pittston schools, and then entered the Army Reserves. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the steel industry.
Richie was a strong, hardworking and kind man. He was a best friend to his son Tony, whom he loved unconditionally, along with his family. He always helped with anything that was needed.
His joys in life were gardening, hunting, fishing, working on his vehicles, and listening with joy to what his grandchildren were involved in. He enjoyed watching his college football games, and watching the Giants and Notre Dame play. Richie could be seen every day at the donut shop socializing with friends.
Preceding him in death was his brother, Samuel Graci. Surviving are his son Tony and his wife Lisa, Henryville; daughter, Majorie and her husband Todd Derhammer, Forty Fort; and grandchildren: Cody and Samantha Graci, and Brian Emal.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, December 9, from 9 until 10:15 a m., at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish in Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, with the Monsignor John Sempa, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment with Rite of Committal will be in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.

So sad to read of Richie´s passing. We were his and Sam´s neighbors for 25 years and I also was one of his donut shop buddies. Great guy. Always helpful. RIP.
