GRAETER
Richard 'Dick' Anton Graeter, age 83, of Ryland Lakes Country Club, passed away on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014. He was a former owner of Graeter's Ice Cream for 54 years, a graduate of The Ohio State University, a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, and past President of Cincinnati Retail Bakers Association. He also served in the Army as a member of the Honor Guard and as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Katherine Graeter; and his brother, Jon Graeter. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce Graeter of Ryland Lakes; his son, Richard (Nancy) Graeter of Cincinnati; his daughter, Cindy (Rick) Benken of Villa Hills; his brother Louis Graeter of Cincinnati; and his sisters, Carole (Dick) Palmer of Boothbay, ME and Kathy Graeter of Mariemont, OH. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Alex and Emily Benken, and Will and Kate Graeter. Services are being held privately.
