AGE: 55 • Aberdeen
Richard John Hackmann, 55, of Aberdeen, passed away on Saturday April 20, 2013 in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was born in Rahway and remained a lifelong resident in the Matawan Aberdeen area. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Rider University. Rich developed a love for antique radios and over the years he had built quite a collection. Rich had a zest for life and always had a smile on his face. He also enjoyed music, particularly the trumpet, gardening and cheering for the Rangers and Jets. He was a devoted and loved family man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Rich was predeceased by his mother Nancy Hackmann in 2012. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years Susan Hackmann, two daughters Erika and Alyssa Hackmann, his father Richard "Dick" Henry Hackmann, two sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara Hackmann and Phil Dodge, and Linda and Michael Quigley, two step-siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2013 from 6pm - 9pm at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751. ? Oh my dear Sue and Family. My Heart is breaking . It has been so long since we have talked and I have continued to miss you all and always think of you. I am so very sad to hear this news. Rich was always the life of the party and so much Fun to be around! We had so many good times over the years and I am sad that we moved away and lost contact. Rich will forever be remembered in my Heart as the Fun, Loving, Caring, Happy Man who could make everyone laugh at the drop of a hat....
