I was one of his youngest patients. I just found out tonight he passed away, it hits home because it was a week after my angel baby's first anniversary. He was a very caring person, and he answered any questions I had. I'm gonna miss him dearly. He really was a good man. I prayed while getting blood draws in the hospital chapel from my miscarriage that he spend the holidays with his family. My heart goes out to his family as well as my deepest condolences.

An amazing and compassionate friend for so many years in Birmingham ... A physician´s-physician the likes of which is rarely seen....A friend to so many who will be greatly missed by all who knew him personally. Rex had such class and a God-given gift to heal others. His life long dedication to his profession was always so impressive to me. God bless you Rex; RIP. Our sincere condolence's to his beloved wife Sarah and all his family..

I was just heartbroken, when I got the news of Dr Harris's passing. He was my workmen's Comp. doctor for 25 years. He was just like a daddy to me. He was a great doctor, he cared about me as a patient, and not the company I got hurt at. He has prayed with me over the many years in his office. I will miss him greatly. Prayers to his wife, daughter, son and grandson

I had the honor of working with Dr. Harris at the Vaughan Regional Medical Center. He worked harder than anyone I ever knew. I´m grateful for the time I got to work beside him. He will be greatly missed by our community.

Dr. Harris was a gentle soul. I invited him to consider coming to Selma and join Vaughan Regional years ago. He did and he became part and parcel of Vaughan and of Selma. My mother who was his patient always thought of him as an angel. She loved his white hair and his shining smile. I will miss Rex but I know that he is in a better place.

I worked for Rex in Medical Arts Bldg and then at St Vincent´s when he first started his Private Practice. Tarpley and Harris. I absolutely adored him and can´t describe how I loved that job. He was a great doctor, but also totally hilarious. Not laughed that much before or since.

I work for Dr Harris and Mrs Harris for about four years I enjoyed the company they reminded me of my painters, always cutting up smile on his face. It was a joy knowing him.

So sorry to hear. I helped run the operating rooms at St. Vincent's for ten years back in 1990-2000. He was always in good spirits then and moved things along.
