As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. I´ve got the up most respect for this shipmate! I´m a Navy Veteran also and I feel a bond with Richard, you have to be Navy to understand where I´m coming from! Richard is a true Navy Hero, it saddens me that he is gone. I would have truly loved to have known this gentleman. I would have loved to hear some of his sea faring stores! I´m sure he would have enjoyed hearing some of mine has well! I´m sure his granddaughter has videotapes of him! It would be great to see some! I´m gonna close but not before I pass on to Richard one thing!

Mr. Higgins is what we refer to as an all American hero. These men and women were dedicated and put country before life. We owe them for their love of country. All those WWll survivors we honor you
