Richard “Richie” Claire Hooper, III, 40, a resident of Lexington, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at his residence. Richie was born on December 8, 1981 to Richard Claire, Jr. and Shirley Vanhorn Hooper. He owned and operated his own tree company for many years. Richie was known for being tenacious, witty, and had a selflessness which was unmatched by most. He was respectful and was a loving father. He loved his daughter more than anything else. Richie will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Hooper.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Richie is survived by his father, Richard Hooper (Shari); his daughter, Courtney Hooper; sisters, Rachel Cope, Renee Navedo, Rebecca Hooper (Terry Tucker), Autumn McGuire, and Michelle Hooper; nieces and nephews, Adam Hooper, Amber Hooper, Adrianna Weller, Alisia Weller, Jake Lacour, Caitlyn McGuire and many more.
