Dearest Barb, Babs, and the rest of the Horton family. I have so many memories of Dick from my childhood. He was a treasure. I will never forget the year I spent Christmas with your family. Dick spent hours putting together my Christmas present. He will truly be missed, but look at all the wonderful memories you have! Heaven now has another wonderful musician and angel. My prayers are with you.

Dearest Barb and loved ones - Our hearts are with you at this time, glad you were all together with Dick these past weeks. There are so many memories of our families and friends in the past including the Band Parents shows, gatherings in MI & AZ (sometimes playing my Dad's banjo), sing-alongs, being part of the entertainment at our impromptu wedding reception in Mom and Dad's backyard, too many to mention here. Loved looking throught the pictures and especially of Dick and Barb dancing at Rock Springs and his military photos. He could even still wear his uniform! Love & Hugs!

To My Second Family - I'll always cherish those memories of camping at East Tawas or where ever our folks would drag us and singing around the campfires - Dick on his banjo along with Bill Skinner and my Dad singing - and sometimes Joe Flood singing too - before we would know it - the whole camp ground would be around the campfire with us - I will miss him so much - My dad will miss him most of all!! Much love to you all - Debbie & Earl

Although we didn't know Dick very well, we certainly knew OF Dick. He is part of one of Goodrich's Heritage families, foundations to our community, of which we can be proud of. Dicks father built our kitchen counter tops for us and we appreciated his conversation & character very much. Today Dicks music & social fabric lives on through his son.
A life well lived.

Prayers for the Horton family. I remember your mom from school. Met your dad after I graduated. Last time I saw them was at the Kettle restaurant in Ortonville. So sorry for your loss your parents were the nicest people. Please give your mom my sympathy for her loss.

What an ardent supporter of our big band Rock of Ages! Couldn't resist kickin' up his heels with Barbara or whomever was nearby, in a driveway, on a dance floor. If he could ever dance and play banjo at the same time, doin' it now! Rest in peace from life well lived, well loved. Peace too to this fine fine family. Rev. Tom and Beth Wachterhauser

There's going to be a ton of "down home American pickin music" in Heaven now! Dick was the sweetest, most endearing human I've ever known. My wife Dee & I have been honored to be a part of the Horton family by "love proxy" for the last 15 years or so! God...take care of my pal! ~Danny Davis & wife Dee!

To the Horton family, particularly Rochelle, Rayne, Buzzy and Lana - you never think days like this will ever come. I mean "grandpa's" are supposed to live forever...especially this one. He was a kind gentleman with twinkling eyes and a smile that let you know he was only joking when he called you "Scary Mary"! Thank you for blessing me with your grandchildren Grandpa Dick. Some of which I call my bestest friends in the whole world!! I believe you had a part in why I will always love banjos, old cars and Goodrich. You are larger than life and you will always be in my best childhood memories. RIP sweet man. XXOO - Love, Scary Mary
