Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

October 25, 2013

Kylie & Kiera,

I hope someday you will be able to read these messages and realize what a wonderful person your Papa was. He just glowed when he talked about you. Being a grandfather was one of the biggest joys of his life.

Heather and Scott,

Your dad was so proud of you and we talked often about your accomplishments. Scott, your eulogy at the funeral was outstanding, and gave a true picture of your dad. He felt so blessed with his life and his family was one of his greatest blessings.

Todd,

I know that Rich enjoyed having you in his life. You are fortunate to have had him, however short.

Janice,

What can one say? You know my heart aches at the loss of our wonderful friend. I truly miss his humor and hope the memories will give us all lots of smiles and laughs while we deal with the loss. Know I am always here for you.

Love to all-

Ann

My condolences to Janice and the Illingworth family. Rich, as a volunteer at Project Self-Sufficiency, was an inspiration and a help to me and the women he assisted in finding employment. Rich was a caring mentor and gave of his free time to help others. He will be missed.

Janice, I am so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. I have fond memories of Richard when we were younger. May you find the peace in knowing he is in the lord's hands and may you find the strength from the legacy Richard left behind. May God Bless You and be with you during this sorrowful time. You and Richard have many friends to give you strength and also have family. Our prayers go out to you and your family.

To the Illingworth Family,
Rich, your husband, father and grandfather was a wonderful human being who enjoyed life and his family and brought a smile the faces of those he encountered. His loss is as immeasurable as the countless wonderful memories you must hold. I know I will miss his friendship including his sarcastic wit. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
My deepest sympathy in your time of loss.

Richie: My heart brakes losing my dearest friend. I think back on the many things we shared. We spoke of how we both married over our heads and how God had blessed us with women that supported us for all our years with moving & traveling. We shared great times togeher as couples, which is so rare. We have such great memories of Nemecolin and all giving each other a hard time. Jannie was subtle but the best at it. Seeing your picture in the 1970 plaid leisure suit, I wanted to call you up and give you a hard time because I know you would have done the same! I remeber laughing so hard we cried in Florida.
We shared our sports, (basketball on Friday nights in Sparta) and then shared our goals personally and professionally at The Office (local bar on Rt 183) after hoops. In the 80's it was our desire to help our kids become who they wanted to become. We wanted to work and progress in business thorugh hard work and honesty, which you obviously accomplished! To the many golf trips around the country where we laughed, played in the rain, (literally) and shared our life. To recent golf at Grayhawk where we discussed how proud we were of the fine human beings our children had become.
Scott and Heather Your DAD was one in a million and loved you very much -as I am sure you know!

Jannie, Ann and I are here for you, we wish we lived closer to reach out and give you a hug more often and share our love for you and Richie!!

Rich was always such a kind person. He knew how "to play" and enjoy life. He loved his family so much. Every time I went to visit Janice and Rich in their beautiful home, I always felt welcomed. They had the gift of "Hospitality." Praying for my precious and dear friend Janice and her family. Arvid joins me in those prayers. Liz Danielsen(Warrenton, VA)

Thinking of the Illingworth family during this difficult time. I remember being at your house many times as a child, it was always filled with laughter, smiles, and little sarcasm. May your memories comfort you and bring peace.
