Robbie and family, Just heard of Robbie’s death today, 6/7/22.
I’m sad to hear. Got to know Robbie more than Ricky in High School, but they were fun and classy guys.
My prayers to you the family and for Ricky if needed. I promise.
Sincerely,

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with the juicy bone.
Silence the pianos and, with muffled drum,
Bring out the coffin. Let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling in the sky the message: “He is dead!”
Put crepe bows around the white necks of the public doves.
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my north, my south, my east and west,
My working week and Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song.
I thought that love would last forever; I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one.
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun.
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can come to any good
I will miss you all the days of my life...My King Ricky..
Love eternal.

To the Jancosko family:
I was very fortunate to meet the "twins" when I went to Canevin High School. The only way I could tell them apart was the slight birthmark over Rickie's eye. We saw each other over the years and he always made me feel special. Last year when we went to Kathy's dad's funeral, Rickie came up to me and my mom, grabbed our arms and said he wanted to escort two beautiful ladies. That was Rickie, a true gentleman, always. The world is less brighter without him. My deepest condolences. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

My deepest sympathies to the Jancosko family. One of my fondest memories of childhood was when Coach Rick took our entire team to "Chuck E. Cheese" and gave each of us several hands full of quarters. He was a terrific guy.

Dear Uncle Joe, Robbie, Greg and Jay,
Words cannot even begin to express the profound sorrow and very heavy heart I have over the untimely passing of Ricky. He always had a way of making the joys of life contagious, by his wisdom, warmth and understanding. I truly admired and loved cousin Ricky and all of you must be even prouder of his devotion to you. Family meant everything to Ricky and I know you will be brave in your sorrow as he would have wanted you to be. Heaven is amazingly blessed to have such a beautiful angel to continue watching over us. May the love that surrounds all of you be a source of comfort. Love and prayers to all, Mary Faith

To the Jancosko Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathies. We pray that the Lord comforts you in this time of loss and strengthens you with the knowledge that Ricky is now in heaven with God.
There are many words that could be used describe Ricky, gracious, faithful, and inspiring are but a few. Whether at Paparazzi or at Tetelestai Church, it was always good to see him. He would greet us with a big smile, firm hand shake and a friendly pat on the back – we knew he was genuinely happy to see us. He was a man among men, he was class and dignity personified. While we will miss his warm smile and friendly manner, we look forward to seeing Ricky again when we join him in the presence of our Lord.
In brotherly love he was devoted to those around him; he honored them above himself; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
Kelly Bigley

TO JAY AND FAMILY -
MARY WOODS AND FAMILY
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. I need you here badly; you're part of my plan. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too... that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain." And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Although, like so many others, I wish you were still here, I know in my heart that Heaven is a better place because you are there. No matter where you were you always made ita better place and you definitely had that effect on the people there.
You are my brother and you have been since the first time you,Robbie and I met 25 years ago.
You had a heart of gold and you were by far one of the best human beings I have ever met in my long life.
My condolences to your dad, Robbie, Greg and Jay.
Rest easy my brother, we will meet again!

My dear friend Ricky,
Remembering our days at Saint Margarets will be treasured a life time. The many 8th grade parties, the shyness we all had, and the bond between "our" friends is still so strong. You will always be remembered as the "cute" boy and "handsome" man whose smile brightened a day. I remember runnning into you a few years back and thinking WOW - what a hunk! But more importantly your heart was beautiful. I will miss my Christmas card from you and the beautiful message you always wrote. Thank you for the inspiration. My mom always liked you so much. I remember you dancing with her on graduation night. I have the picture. Say hi to her for me Ricky and pray for me. With Love Always, Your friend

We will always remember Ricky as a giant of a man with a contagious smile and a servants heart. His willingness to give of his time and resources to anyone who was fortunate enough to cross his path will always be an inspiration. Though a multifaceted individual, with countless options at his disposal, he invariably chose the one good thing, to receive with a humble spirit the unadulterated word of God, which in turn manifest itself through the numerous virtues displayed in his life every day.
To the entire Jancosko family,
You grieve much because you love much. However, in the midst of your grief may you find comfort in this one fact. Because Ricky placed his confidence in the person and work of another, in Jesus of Nazareth, for him to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Old things have passed away the fresh and new have arrived.

During the time I spent on the IUP women’s basketball team, I was lucky enough to get to know Uncle Ricky. He was a caring, loving man and was our inspirational leader. When no one else believed in us, he did. Even after I graduated, Ricky was dedicated to be an inspirational leader throughout my life. I will miss the letters, phone calls, and inspiring text messages he would send. He made an impact in a lot of our lives and he will never be forgotten. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers Uncle Ricky. Thank you for everything.

To Jancosko Family:
Ricky was a very unique person and dear friend
to all of us who knew him.
From richest and famous to the ordinary Joe.
He would touch your heart in many different ways.
As you got to know Ricky for the first time or last time, he would always
remember your name or something about you.
He would make you feel important
as a part of his life, whether it was in sales, the bar business or a part of his dedication
towards team sports and a strong spiritual beliefs. As he moves to his destination
to meet the lord,
he would want you as a person to reflect on his greatest abilities to motivate
you to be the best you can be as "one heart beat and soul"

Can't you just picture Ricky now in heaven...making suggestions to the "welcoming committee" on how the new arrivals could be more comfortable! Softer lighting, fun music, improved decorations, etc! When anyone was fortunate to become a friend of Ricky...they made a friend for life. Beside his desire to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Ricky valued relationships with family and friends more than anyone we have ever met. Ricky defined grace, love, friendship, gentleness, kindness, empathy, fidelity, generosity....and did so with class! Thank you for being our friend, and enriching our lives as we look forward to seeing you again... and having fellowship for eternity...(and I'm sure you will be suggesting an upgrade in the clothing as well!)

If there is anything we can do, in Florida or in Pittsburgh, please do not hesitate to let us know and please accept our deepest condolences on this tragic loss.

I am a memeber of the IUP Women's Basketball team and one of many who has been fortuante enough to have known "Uncle Rickey". This man was one of the most thoughtful and loving people I have ever met. He was just as much apart of our team as us players and coaches...he was our inspirational leader.
Uncle Rickey was a huge part of our lives and will truley be missed. He had such positive energy and made my life and many others better because of it. He was such a caring and giving person, never thinking of himself but always putting the Lord and others before him.
Uncle Rickey, the team will miss the inspiring text messages and voice mails, the cheering in the stands, but most of all seeing your smiling face after each game...hugging each and everyone of us and letting us know how proud you were after a win or a loss.
You will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
This year is for YOU Uncle Rickey... "Start before your ready" our motto for our championship team in 2007-2008.
We are a one heartbeat family...GAME ON!
I love you!

Dearest Ricky:
You were truly one of God's finest men. Each of us who had the privilege of having you in our lives was truly blessed. Your twinkling eyes and handsome, smiling face will always be in our memories. Not many people know how close Uncle Ricky was to us. Whenever we were feeling down or had a bad game, he was there to pick us up again. No matter what you were going through he could make you smile with a simple hug or kiss and calling you "his girl." All of our families found it hard to come to our games, and uncle ricky made it a point to help fill in for them faithfully. While the other girls would be visiting their family members, uncle ricky would be with us saying how amazing we were and how proud he was. He made us all feel special and that we could do anything. We all truly feel that we have lost not just an amazing friend, but a family member. He has had such an amazing impact on all of our lives and has inspired us all to be as loving, open, giving, and thankful as he was. We love and miss you uncle ricky.

Ricky will be missed by all who knew him. We will miss the words of encouragement, positive attitude, and the truthfulness of the heart. Ricky I’ll miss the mourning cup of coffee you brought while we printed the IUP girls score and highlights from the previous nights game. You would look at the stats and we would discuss them over coffee. I’ll miss the words of encouragement that you gave to my employees.
Ricky I know you are in Heaven because you said the only reward in the end was to be at the gates of Heaven and enter. I’ll miss you my friend in person but not in my memory. Thanks for being a friend.

"Uncle Ricky" you were the Inspirational Leader of our IUP Women's Basketball Team. As our biggest fan, we will miss seeing you in the stands at the games cheering for our ladies. Thank you for all of your passion, support, warmth, companionship and energy. You believed in us and were there with us for a wonderful journey the last three seasons. It was a great privilege and honor to have know such a great person. My family came to know "Uncle Ricky" through his special family, the IUP Womens Basketball Team. Coach Cindy Martin, the players and fans were blessed by an angel of the sport and life itself. As called the INSPIRATION LEADER, he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Ricky and I became close these past three years as my daughter, Kylie, is a junior baskestball player at IUP. He brought the positive out in all situations. He was a special person, touching everyone he knew. I'll miss his calls and the text messages he would send. He loved life and it showed through his actions. The last thing he said to me when we departed after the Fairmont game was Happy Holidays and "GAME ON" we're "ONE HEARTBEAT"!!! Ricky,
I will never forget the first time I met this big guy. His, "how ya doing," was my intro to Pittsburgh hospitality. I salute his fidelity to his Savior and his allegiance to God's Word, the Bible. I remember taking him to the Bassmasters Classic and introducing him to Ray Scott, the founder of "BASS". Ray autographed one of his books and gave it to Ricky as a gift. Ricky had an encouraging spirit and a bond of brotherhood that few could miss. I salute his life and memory and look forward to being reunited with this big guy in the eternal realm of Jesus Christ our Lord. God's timing in always perfect!!

We had a chance to meet Richard on an occasional basis when we attended an annual reunion of friends.
The first time we met Richard, we could tell right away that he had “class”. Each year he would drive a handicapped friend to the reunion. He made sure that that person arrived safe and was attended to while there.
Richard spoke in a soft and intelligent manner and you felt comfortable with him from the first moment you met him.
Our prayers and sympathy are extended to Richard’s family.

"Uncle Rickie",
The Good Lord has Blessed me. I have known you for just over a year. Your Love, Dedication, Support and Passion for the IUP womans basketball team is only understood by a few.
But Rick, we were only kidding when we called you from the DII Tip Off November 1, 2007, and said because you were not there, someone was going to have to take your place.
When I had my son at Shady Side Hospital December 11, and we exchanged cordials at the elevator, it was wonderful. But to see you face to face at that same elevator a hour and 13 minutes later, it was a Blessing, unbeknown to me.
December 17, we had fun at Fairmont State. Your passion is unwavering. And please do not ever underestimate the impact you have made on many of the IUP woman basketball players. Your kind words of encouragment to my daughter at Fairmont, and many times before, ring bright and true and clearer to her today, more than yesterday.
You were, are and always will affectionately be know to the girls as, "Uncle Rickie"
You are with the Lord, Amen.
