Age 72, of Shaler Township, on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Beloved husband of 51 years of Lucille M. (Faderewski) Jarzynka; loving father of Richard H. Jarzynka, Jr., Judy (Rick Castle) Schieck, Melanie Jarzynka, Janet (Brian) Cruz and Peter W. (Leslie) Jarzynka; grandfather of Samantha R. Schieck, Olivia and Luke Jarzynka, Henry, Teddy and Charlie Cruz; great-grandfather of Claire Elizabeth "Button" Schieck; son of the late Henry and Agnes (Welka) Jarzynka; brother-in-law of Walter (Geri) Faderewski; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT at www.stlabre.org. Family and Friends received at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Thursday and Friday 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Saturday at 10 a.m.

My deepest synpathies to the Jarzynka family. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I got to know Rich when I coached St. Sabastian football and Peter was on the team. Rich was always there, at all the games cheering and supporting his son. It was evident to me what a good family man and father he was. It was an honor to know him, Lucille, and Peter. I will remember him at Mass on Sunday.
