Harvey Greene Obituary
Harvey H., age 95, of Passaic died Thursday at Sunrise Assisted Living in Edgewater, NJ.
Born and raised in Passaic, he also lived in Clifton until moving to Edgewater a few years ago.
Mr. Greene was a US Army Veteran during World War II and participated in several campaigns in the Ardennes,the Rhineland, and Battle of the Bulge.
He was a graduate of Pace University, New York where he attended after the war and received his Bachelor of Arts degree. He was a Public Accountant for over fifty years in Passaic.
He was predeceased by his wife Frieda (Barnett) Greene in 2013. He is survived by a son Robert J. Kasdon of New York and a daughter Naomi R. Kasdon of West Pal Beach, Florida, two grandchildren David Gornitzky (Jacqueline) and Michelle Lewis (Derek) and three great-grandchildren Nathan, Angelo, and Gianni.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday 12:30 PM in Jewish Memorial Chapel 841 Allwood Road Clifton, NJ. Interment King Solomon Memorial Park Clifton, NJ.

My thoughts and prayers are with Robbie and his family. I was honored to break bread with Harvey, Freida, and Robbie during the holiday season. Harvey will always be remembered by me as a kind and compassionate man.

My parents and I had the honor of sharing many holiday meals at Harvey and Frieda's table and they at ours. A visit with them was always something special. Conversation flowed freely and each visit was filled with laughter. Harvey's dry wit was complemented by Frieda's warmth and grace. They cherished sharing time with family and left us with many happy memories. Theirs were lives to be celebrated.
