Richard Jacob Kenworthy, 49, Fresno, CA passed away on September 18, 2023. He was born April 28, 1974 in Kokomo, IN.

Richard graduated from Northwestern HS in 1992, attended Olivet Nazarene University, then served in the United States Marine Corps from 1994-1997. He received his LVN at Clovis Institute of Technology and went on to work at nursing homes during COVID.

Rick owned Elite Nutrition Powered in Fresno. Previously, he owned Elite Fitness in Fresno, CA and worked for Northpoint Surgery Center and Covenant Post Acute. He attended First Church of the Nazarene in Kokomo, IN and Northwest Church as well as People's Church in Fresno, CA.

Rick loved helping others with their personal health and weight loss goals. He enjoyed fishing, country music, line dancing, loved the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, and was an avid Indian University (IU) fan. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his two boys, Logan and Cole, watching movies and playing Fortnight.

Rick is survived by his sons Logan and Cole, their mother Tamar Kenworthy; parents Alma Kenworthy, Harry Kenworthy, and Diana Lawrence; siblings Michael (Heather) Kenworthy, Amber Dockery, Adam (Sarah) Kenworthy; step sister Rachel McClain; nieces and nephews Austin, Chloe, Ashley, Caleb, Olivia and Russell. He was preceded in death by his father Jim Lawrence, brother Aaron Lawrence and grandparents.

Visitation will be at Family Worship Center 1149 E Center Rd Kokomo, IN on Saturday November 18, 2023.

2-4 pm, followed by the service at 4 pm. FB live streaming will be from 4-5 pm on November 18, 2023.

I was Rick's biggest loser when he had his gym. Through his support and knowledge I lost 120 pounds and found myself again. Rick became more than a personal trainer, he became a dear friend. I will always be grateful for his help and cherish how he made getting healthy fun. Rick loved his boys so much...he was so proud to show me some father son pics wearing the Cubs. He beamed talking about his children and loved being with them. May God bless Rick and all who morn this tragic loss. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Thank you for steaming his funeral.

Richard was a good friend that I met 4 years ago. There is not too many friends I have that I can call anytime and he was one of them . I miss my friend and my workout partner very much . Richard will never be forgotten by me , I love you Richard ... and miss you .

I met Rick when he was 2 years old. His mom and dad went on a double with my husband and I. Rick was in his pj´s and had the cutest smile and laugh. It was an honor to have him become part of our family.
