Towanda, Kansas - Richard Warren Ketterman, 87, of Towanda, KS, passed away Sat., Oct. 21, 2023. Visitation 6 - 8 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 26, 2023 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Graveside service 2:30 p.m. Fri., Oct. 27, 2023, at Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado. Richard was born in Augusta, KS on August 10, 1936, to Vera Monieta (Baum) and Melvin Clark Ketterman. He served in the U.S. Army. Richard worked doing maintenance for most of his life. Richard enjoyed playing poker, going to the casino, playing pool, and working on lawn mowers. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. On July 28, 1962 he married Charlotte (Boss) Ketterman in El Dorado, KS. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Vera Ketterman; brothers, Edward and William "Bill"; granddaughter, Sharmaine Warren; son in law, Phillip Johnson; nephew, Terry Ketterman. He is survived by: daughters, Tracy Tucker and husband Mike, Sandra Johnson, Brenda Thomas, and Tammy Ketterman; son, Harold Dunham, Jr.; 11 grandkids; 25 great grandkids; 15 great great grandkids; and 1 great great great granddaughter.

I loved seeing Richard at all his grandkids games as I was going to my grandkid´s games. We would always talk. I was friends with his daughter Sandra when we were growing up. May God Bless Richard´s family.
