Richard Kingore Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 28, 2024.
Richard L. Kingore passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Bertie Kingore for 58 years. Loving father of 3 sons, Donald and wife Jessica, Jeffery, Matthew and wife Aimee. Cherished grandfather of Sky and Coleen.

Richard honorably served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Midway CVA41 in the combat information center as a radarman.

After his discharge from the Navy he completed a degree at Wichita State University where he met and married Bertie. He spent the rest of his life working as an executive in manufacturing and publishing. He loved to travel and being with family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to talk to people and enjoyed life to the fullest. We lost a good man.

Fair winds and following seas, sailor. We have the watch. You stand relieved.

A memorial service will be held in Christ Chapel at CC Young in Dallas, TX, on Friday, August 2 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his honor to CC Young, where he spent his final months: https://www.ccyoung.org/donate-now/

Richard was such a joy to be around-always smiling with an impish glint in his eye. So welcoming, kind, and generous. He was always ready with a dad joke before there even were dad jokes. I´m glad I had the chance to know him.
