Both of my girls loved Mr Salinardi. He and the other Dirver's Ed teachers called Heather "crash".
I considered Rich a good friend and enjoyed the retired teachers luncheons with him....and drinks and conversation afterwards.
He will be missed
Grace and family my heartfelt condolences to each of you. May God's presence be with you and bring you peace and comfort.

He will not be forgotten! Mr. Salinardi was so much fun as one of the teachers that let us have fun during club time in high school. I think we sold donuts, but we definitely were social in the "In & Around Club!" Thank you for being a fun teacher, club leader, and person!!

Grace, Jayme, & Jason, I was blessed with Rich's friendship (and yours) for over 30 years. He was like a big brother to me. He was a tremendous friend to me to the very end. I will miss him dearly.

Mr. Salinardi made a difference in so many kids' lives - he was always a friendly face that we could turn to when we needed a pick-me-up or when we just needed a good laugh on a difficult day. When I was on the yearbook staff at Central, I would often use my "get out of class free" card to go sit and chat with him and the other drivers ed teachers. They always had food and snacks that they would share with me, and Mr. Salinardi used to joke that one day, they were going to put a lock on the fridge to keep me out :) When I went off to college, many Fridays when I was home, I would stop by a bakery and pick up baked goods to bring by the drivers ed office with the excuse of returning the food I had "borrowed" - he played along, but we both knew that the real reason for my visits was that I missed our talks. Such a great guy.

I had the pleasure of learning to drive with Mr. Salinardi in 1999. He left a lasting impression and I was just telling my own kids about him and our drivers ed class. Prayers to your family during the difficult time!

Dear Grace, Jayme and Jason, we are so sorry to hear about Rich. He was such a kind person and impacted so many kid's lives. Our girls loved Rich teaching them how to drive. He would even go out to IWA and pick them up for driving lessons. Definitely above and beyond! Our thoughts, love, prayers and sympathy to you and your families. John and Kathy Davis

I had Mr. Salinardi for Drivers Ed way back in 1996. I will never forget the Friday that another student and I left class and in our best imitation of his accent said "see ya later Mr. Salinardi" and ran out the door before we could see his reaction, fearing what he might say. That next Monday when we walked into class he just had the biggest smile on his face and we knew he approved. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Aunt Grace, Jayme and Jason. I remember like it was yesterday as a child every time Uncle Richie was in town we would have Chinese food! We would sit around our table at 241 and talk and eat for hours. How I loved those visits! Rest in Peace Dear Uncle. Love Lisa, Mark, Katelyn and Marco
