Richard Lauzier

Richard Roger Lauzier, age 80, of Manchester, CT, passed away on March 17, 2025, in Manchester, CT after a brief illness. He was born on January 28, 1945 in Van Buren, Maine to Rene and Martha Lauzier. One of nine brothers and sisters, Richard moved to Connecticut in 1955. He graduated from Hartford High School, where he participated in both wrestling and cross-country running. Richard dedicated many years of his life to the banking industry, where he rose to the position of Vice President at Manchester State Bank.

Richard was an avid golfer and some of his most cherished moments were spent on the course at Manchester Country Club, enjoying the camaraderie of his friends. He was particularly proud of achieving two holes in one, a testament to his skill and passion for the game.

Richard proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Army Navy Club in Manchester, where he enjoyed spending time with fellow veterans.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; his stepdaughter, Susan Richardson, her husband Brian, and their children; his stepson, Michael Varni and his wife, Nancy Honore; and his children from his first marriage, Eric Lauzier and Clarissa Quinn, and their families. He is also survived by his brother Joseph James Lauzier and his wife Eileen, his sister Patricia Colagiovanni, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers Rudolph and Ralph, and sisters Angela (Yakovleff), Norma (LaPlante), Carlene (Patterson), and Doreen (Long).

A graveside service will be held on Friday April 25, 2025 at 12:30pm at East Cemetery in Manchester, CT.
