Mr. Lewis will be in many hearts that will be heavy upon learning of your loss. He was our principal in Broomfield high and was the kind of man any school would be considered lucky to have had.

Mr. Lewis always respected and honored the teachers who worked under his guidance. He also respected and encouraged the students who were fortunate to attend Broomfield High School. I remember him fondly, and have sung his praises for many years.

Dear Ones, Altho' your hearts are understandably saddened and breaking during this extremely difficult time, it must be a source of pride and comfort knowing and remembering Dick's faithful Christian example. We have fond memories of our Westminster Sunday School co-teachers - Dick and Bobbie. Please accept our sincere condolences. Dear Bobbie and family, Know that I am holding you all close during this sad time. My years of teaching 1st grade at Arapaho under Dick's guidance were the best years ever in the classroom! Dick was always positive and supportive with students and teachers alike. All four of our 1st grade classrooms were together in one hallway; Dick allowed us to experiment together with different teaching methods. I'm sure he was rolling his eyes at some of them but he supported our enthusiasm and trusted that our students best interests would always come first. Our classrooms extended into that hall and into each others rooms. We had so much fun together as a small staff and Dick fostered our love for teaching through his friendliness and care for each student, family and teacher! I will always be grateful for those years together with "Mr. Lewis"! He touched the lives of so many! Thank you for sharing him! He will be missed.
Love, Shelley Wood Emerick (Boulder)

I was a student at Douglas elementary when Mr. Lewis was principal. I have great memories of him walking the halls at the start of the day and saying good morning to the students. He had a special way of making everyone feel safe and cared for. Prayers for his family and friends. RIP

We were saddened to learn of Dick's passing We enjoyed the times we had to visit with him, and especially remember the time we went to your cabin near Red Feather Lakes. You both had a wonderful impact on our lives and on the life of the church family. We pray for your comfort and peace.
