Beloved husband and best friend of Ann Lippe; loving father of Dr. Craig Lippe and Lisa Ann and Ted Moreland; brother of the late Joanne Loevner; brother-in-law of Robert Loevner; cousin of Judith Arnowitz; cherished "pop-pop" of Dylan, Hailey and Jordan Lippe and Quincey and Nathan Moreland; also survived by nieces, nephews, and many close friends. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Wednesday at 3 p.m. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Interment West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

I am late adding to Rick's legacy as i didn't find this source until today. We grew up together in Beaver Falls and became great friends. Unknown to him and his mother(Red),they instilled in me the urge to succeed. As such I always tried to keep up with him in high school grades which eventually led me successfully to college. Although I lived in Houston, Tx; we tried to keep in touch. We always went to the high school reunions together and Rick and Ann always had a place for my wife and I to stay when reunion time came. When he died unexpectedly it left a little hole in my heart which still is there. A great gentleman and a great friend was lost to many. Rest in piece Rick. John

I was surprised and saddened to hear about Dr. Lippe's passing. He was my doctor for the past 15 years or so. When I'd complain about a minor physical ailment, he'd say, "So what's the other alternative?" reminding me of my blessings.
I can now picture him in his white jacket and stethoscope cajoling with family and friends in "the alternative."

Mrs. Lippe and Family - I worked with Dr. Lippe in the Aiken Building when it was Hydovitz, Lippe, and Melada my first full time position in the medical field - learned alot from Dr. Lippe professionally and was a great MD to work for and with... Always kept in touch with this great man and really talked alot about his favorite other thing he loved besides being a doctor - GOLF. Duquesne/Westwood CC is going to miss him putting around. Here's to playing the finest courses and well-trimmed greens in heaven. Just spoke with him in September running into him at Shadyside. May he rest in peace. May God Bless you all and Dr. Lippe. Upon arriving home from Arizona and learning that Dr. Lippe had passed away, I was shocked and saddened. He was my physician for 28years - a truly great doctor. I will truly miss him. My deepest sympathy to each of his family members.

Dr. Lippe treated a few members of my family for an aggregate of about a hundred years. We relied on his considerable medical knowledge and experience, and appreciated that he never let these things interfere with his deep understanding of people and his personalized patient care. He always ended my father's appointments with, "You're in great shape, Max. Stay away from doctors." This was the only advice that my father wanted to hear, and the best medicine that Dr. Lippe could dispense. We've lost a giant. Please accept our sympathy.

Nate Lippe as a coach and teacher made a profound difference in my father's life. Our family revered Coach Lippe. I had the great honor and pleasure to work with Dr Lippe. He was a ray of sunshine when he came on the floors, always ready with a silly story or comment, and he was a true gentleman. He never ever acted like he was better than the staff, and was so real. His patients adored him and he treated them so very well.
