Richard F. Logan

Richard F. "Dick" Logan died at age 93 in Chandler, Arizona on November 20, 2020 of this year. He was born to Richard and Flossie Logan in 1926 in Indiana but spent most of his childhood near Detroit. Dick was a US Army veteran who served during WW II, and after his discharge, (and a celebratory cross-country motorcycle trip) moved to Tempe, AZ to court his beloved Lois. They eloped to Las Vegas to be married in 1951, and spent several years exploring the natural splendors of the southwest. He found a career as a produce buyer with Safeway Stores, Inc., and he and Lois pursued opportunities with the company all over the western US, until settling in Fountain Valley, CA, and retiring ten years later. He nurtured and supported his children into adulthood and lovingly tended Lois at home during her decline into dementia, until her death in 2013. In 2019, Dick moved back to Arizona to be near his family and enjoyed his final months at Brookdale Chandler Regional Senior Living Solutions, where he had settled right into this caring community. He is survived and missed by his children, Caryn, Kristy, Richard, Mark and David, 7 grandchildren, OC neighbors, and his sisters and extended family "back east". Love you, dad!
