Sheila,
I was so saddened to learn about Dick's passing.
I was upset that I could not attend the service for Dick due to out of town committments.
I first met Dick during his election campaign for Board of Health in Sandwich and worked with him on many projects.
I will always remember the intelligent conversations and lively debates we had about Town issues!
When Dick learned about our mutual love for animals and farms, he invited me to bring my son to the farm for a tour and spend time petting and feeding the managerie! Though that was almost 20 years ago, my son remembers that day with great fondness, as do I.
I will remember Dick with great affection and respect.

To Sheila and the Loring family............
It was with great sadness that we learned of the recent passing of Dick.We have many happy memories of holidays at Wingscorton farm, the children looking forward to seeing what animals Dick had acquired in the time since our last visit. The holiday would always start with a tour of the new arrivals and an update from Dick on what had happened over the winter. Even although we knew he was seriously ill, Dick was one of those people you thought of as indestructable.
Thanks for your friendship, the knowledge and the laughs, Dick.

Dick gave me my first real job and taught me a lot about what it meant to be a man. Wish I had seen more of him lately so he could have seen how well I have done with his help. Best to you all!!

To Richard's family my deepest sympathy for your loss.I knew Richard when I worked for him at A R C aka CCC,in E.Dennis in the middle to late 60s.He will be missed,but not forgotten.

Dick, I hope you are reading this from a fabulous, oceanfront farm in heaven. I will miss you when I make my visits to the Cape. I will miss sitting in the kitchen with the fire roaring, and 3 or 4 or 5 giant dogs carpeting the floor while we all caught up on each other's life. Visiting with you was a unique, refreshing, and happy highlight that I so looked forward to. Thank you for all your support and friendship. There are so many animals and people who will miss you too.

Sheila, I am thinking of you every minute and I hope you are ok. I am there for you if you need me. I will see you and talk to you soon. Amy
