August 16, 1964 - June 1, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a remarkable individual whose kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to their loved ones left a forever lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Richard Alan MacLean, age 60, passed away on June 1, 2025, unexpectedly in his home. He was born on August 16, 1964, in Corland, New York. He was a 1982 graduate of Perry High School. He was a proud father and survived by his two children Richard and Alex.

Richard is preceded in death by his father Joseph Calhoun, and brothers Joey and Dion. He is survived by his mother Donna Sherman (Calhoun) and siblings, Tina (Brett), Ray (Cathy), Jeff (Chrissy), Ernie (Janice) & Tammy (Hal), along with many nieces and nephews.

Richard loved fishing and he loved his dogs and was always willing to rescue another if needed. Richard was a great welder and mechanic; and was employed at Technibus in Canton, Ohio.

One of the things that Richard took most pride in was being a proud father to both Richard and Alex. The boys were the most important thing in life to him. He would always share with people when he spoke about the boys, how proud he was of them and their accomplishments in life and how he wanted to make sure that the boys had nothing to worry about.

He will be greatly missed by many as his absence leaves a void on the lives of those he touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time, but currently this has not yet been scheduled as the family is needing some additional time to grieve this unexpected passing.
