I just learned a few days ago of Ric's passing. (My husband and I were in Florida for the winter.) I have taken many coaching, tennis lessons from Ric over the years at Wellesley CC and I still hear his booming voice with suggestions about positioning, etc. even now when I play tennis. He had such a presence about him and made the sport of tennis so much fun and was so patient with we ladies.. I also was a member of the WCC tennis committee so spent time in meetings with Ric on that committee. He always spoke so wonderfully about his family and was so proud of his children and all their accomplishments. He was so full of life that he is a person that we will long remember. God Bless all of you and may memories share with him be a source of comfort to all of you. We send our heartfelt sympathy. Very Sincerely, Joan and Steve Orr

Thinking of your time of sorrow, my deepest sympathy. I did not know Rick for a long period of time but when we met at Bass River Tennis Club he always had a nice thing to say. I always learned something from his comments on the sidelines. I am going to miss him at the club.

As a young girl growing up in the "french section" of Salem I remember fondly Richie's "joie de vivre"
I particularly remember him as a sprited sports enthusiast who eluded many an usher at the old Boston Garden.

To my special friend Jeannine and the entire Martineau family I extend my profound sympathy.
