Well, Mac, I found out about this by accident. I had received an email from Colonel Bill Follmer telling us that his wonderful wife, Marion, had passed away in her sleep. I have been a friend of Bill's for 50 years now and called Bobbie to let her know of this sad news when it became worse than I had expected. I served with you from 1966 to 1969 at the 57th Weather Recon Squadron at Hickam flying WB-47E's. I also contacted your co-pilot, Rudy Canto, and let him know. I missed your humor and kindness when I departed the AF and thought of you and Bobbie often while a member of the FBI. I am deeply saddened by the loss to your wonderful family. I had the opportunity to break bread with your family on many occasions at Hickam. You were the finest gentleman and friend that anyone could have. Rest in peace, you are a Top Gun and inspiration to all whose lives you touched. God Bless you. You now belong to the ages.

Mac, although it has been several years since I last saw you, I will always remember how kind you and Bobbie treated me during a time of duress when I was visiting Biloxi. You never gave it a second thought when I asked for your help. Had lots of fun playing golf with you and Bobbie and will carry with me for the rest of my life fond memories of the time spent in Biloxi. May God forever keep you in his arms.

During my 33+ years in the Air Force, I was honored to serve with this great man. Eye on the mission, yet his people were always put at the front also. He was a great director of operations, great pilot and I was please to call him friend. God will get a little more sunshine in Heaven when he arrives. You will be missed Snapper.
