DOVER ; Richard N. Middaugh, 73, of 46 Glenwood Ave., died April 6, 2008, at home, after a courageous three-year battle with brain cancer.

Born in Dover on March 20, 1935, he was the son of the son of Charles L. and Laura M. (Gaudreau) Middaugh. He was a graduate of Dover High School, Class of 1953, a lifelong resident of Dover and was very active in Dover North Baseball and Dover Pee Wee (Youth) Football as player agent for both leagues for more than 15 years. He and his wife enjoyed many years of camping in New Hampshire and Vermont with family and friends. In 2003, they became seasonal campers at RKC Campground in Alton where they met many new friends in the four summers they were able to spend there.

Middaugh and wife, Jennifer, of Barrington, Matthew J. Middaugh, of Errol; two daughters, Sharon M. Patrick and husband, Dan, of Dover, and Christine A. McCue and husband, Michael, of Sanbornville. Shirley, my sympathy goes out to you and the family. It was good to see you the other day, wish it had been under different circumstances. Of course,Dick and I go back to the old Varney school days, such good memories. I had to dig out my old 2nd grade class picture, and of course,Dick was I think the only one wearing a tie.LOL The last few years have been a bit dificult for both of us hasn't it, but 'chin up' Shirl.Keith
