Richard Money Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 25, 2022.
Richard Alfred Money, was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on March 2, 1938 to Mary "Daniels" Money and Richard Francis Money. Educated at St. Louis Preparatory Seminary High School, Cardinal Glennon College, and Kenrick Seminary, Richard was ordained as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church. He faithfully served his parish until meeting the love of his life, Jacquelynn O'Toole. Dick and Jackie, as they were known by their friends and loved ones, married and had four children. Throughout his life, Dick was an avid outdoorsman and gardener. He could frequently be found hunting, fishing, or tending to his assorted livestock. Dick was always called to serve others in Christian ministry, and he did so as a licensed therapist for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, his children, Richard Money (Denise), John Money (Kelly), Kathryn Money, and Aaron Money (Carolyn), and his sisters, Sylvia Eichhorn (Richard), and Judy Dell (Gary). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Jake, Garrett, Daniel (Rachel), Allyson, Vincent and Anthony, and many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial services will be held at LifeChurch St. Louis (1416 Larkin Williams Rd, Fenton, MO 63026) on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 6pm. Doors will open at 5pm, and a celebration of life will immediately follow the service.

I was unable to attend the services for Rich last year but would like to express my sympathy to the family. Rich was a friend and counselor to my brother, Fr. John Comer, for many years. They met in the seminary and were friends forever. They are now together again in their new heavenly home. Thank you, Rich, for being such a special friend to my brother.

I always saw Dick as the "wise older man" in my life who was a mentor, advisor and friend. And while life, as it does, moves you in separate paths...the memories are rich and eternal. Warm thoughts to Jackie and family.

Dear Jackie,
We are so sorry for your loss! Althought a quiet man, Dick had such a great sense of humor and brought 'JOY' to the JOYS!!! He was always willing to be part of the fun! When he won the hat contest with his 'Possum Hat', I will never forget his mischievous smile. Such a great man. May God grant you and your family the Peace That Passes Understanding! <3 Joe and Lauren
