Although never given any credit, Richard sang with the famous Harvey Dells for a brief period. The only thing that did ever upset him was someone messing with his wife, children or his family. Richard worked at UPS as a Maintenance Electrical Engineer retiring in 2004 after 37 years service. Like his mother (Anne Mae) Richard’s wife Vivian was a stay at home working mother. Richard was well known for his great vacations that he took his family on annually: Wisconsin Dells, Niagara Falls and even Disney World, you name it they were there. Sometimes as many as 10 children at one time on vacations. Being raised in church Richard accepted Christ at an early age and accepted his call to the ministry. Accepting his call, Richard was Licensed as a minster December 1, 1977 and took classes at Moody Bible Institute receiving certification from the institute in basic Youth conflicts September 14, 1979. Richard was ordained January 24, 1984 under the leadership of the Late Herbert Holmes of Universal Baptist church in Harvey Il. Richard loved the Lord with all his heart and whenever given an opportunity always had a word of wisdom or encouragement always backing it up with the Bible. Richard moved his membership and finally settled at Victory Apostolic Church in the mid 90’s. He was active in the Ministerial Allaince, Baptism Committee, Men’s Choir, Men and Singles Ministries. On June 27th 2011 at 3 a.m. Richard jumped on the Glory Train with no regrets, leaving a legacy behind with a host of love ones and friends.
