In memory of
Jim Uberti
February 18, 2019
I still miss my daily conversations with Dick. I often think "what would Dick say about this?" when a certain event is in the news.
His take on any subject was always thoughtful and interesting. I know that Dick counseled a lot of people. As for me, I constantly ran things by him because I knew I'd get another slant on my current problem.
Dick was truly "one of a kind".

Dear Lynne,
I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you and the rest of your family, and to let you know you are all in my prayers. I can only imagine how much you loved him and how much he meant to all of you. As a young man back in the late 70s, hanging out at your house on Pulaski Highway, there always seemed to be a buzz of activity going on (four teenage daughters under one roof makes your dad a super-hero), and yet your dad was always the calming force, and he always made me feel very welcome, like I was part of the family. He really was a beautiful man in many ways as I look back upon it. And I am thinking how very fortunate for you, to have been blessed with such an awesome dad.
Sincerely,
Brian

Allene,Patty,Lynne,Lisa,Carolyn,Judith,all the Nicolari family,
The most agreeable of all companions is a simple, frank person, without any high pretensions to an oppressive gratness, one who loves life and understands the use of it;obliging at all hours;above all,of a golden temper and steadyfast as an anchor. For such a one we gladley exchange the greatest genius, the most brilliant wit the profondest thinker.

Dear Allene and Judy and Family:
I am sorry to learn of Dick's passing. He was my eighth grade teacher at Nolan School (1963-64) and was an outstanding educator. I specifically recall his written assignment to us the day JFK died (we
were to write an essay regarding America's values). I always enjoyed
my encounters with him and the role he played in my early, formative education. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Eileen Heaphy
