Richard Norton Obituary
Richard Norton, a martial artist and Hollywood stunt coordinator known for film series like Mad Max and Suicide Squad, died March 2025 at 75 in Melbourne, Australia.
Norton's entrance into entertainment came as a bodyguard, working for celebrities like Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, David Bowie (1947–2016), and Stevie Nicks. These connections, and his expertise in martial arts, led to stunt work and acting credits in Hong Kong action movies, then shows like "Walker, Texas Ranger," and finally as a stunt coordinator for major Hollywood movies. In addition to stunt work in "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "Furosia: A Mad Max Saga," he also played The Prime Imperator, one of Immortan Joe's henchmen. He also did work on "Suicide Squad" (2016) and "The Suicide Squad" (2021), "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" (2019), and many others.
Actor and martial arts superstar Chuck Norris said on Facebook of Norton, "You made me not only a better martial artist but a better person. You inspired so many, and your legacy and impact will continue to live on for generations to come. You were truly one of the finest men I've ever known. I long for more time together, but I take comfort in the fact that we will meet again."

A bodyguard whose work led him into martial arts and a stuntman. He was so talented in all of those fields and his career lasted for so many years. He worked with some of the best.
