My sincere sympathy to you, his family. Although in knowing Dick all too briefly, it was clear to me that he was a special person. One additional regret I have is that I didn't get to know him better. I first met him nearly 15 years ago, and in a very appropriate place, our favorite destination for weekday masses in downtown Worcester, Notre Dame Church. My visits were more sporadic than his, as it seemed he was always there. It was awhile before we spoke, but soon we introduced each other and thereafter began to have discussions after the masses, at first mostly about how exceptional Dick found the sermons of the Church's (now deceased) Pastor at the time, and then more generally about faith, family, Northboro, the beauty of the old Church and the value of weekday masses there. All too often due to conflicting schedules, our plans for a future lunch never materialized. We could only keep up with the 'goings on' of his life through our mutual friends, the Trombettas.

But as seen stated in the obituary of his passing, Dick clearly had a unique commitment to God. I'm sure he will therefore continue, as in his life, to be especially blessed in God's presence.

My deepest sympathy to the O'Hearn family. Although you do not know me ,I have had the priviledge of meeting your daughter/sibling Kathryn. What an exceptional young woman, I only wished I could have met the man who instilled such great values in her. I am sure you will miss your Dad and devoted husband as your loss has touched near and dear to my heart. God bless you all as you will be in my deepest thoughts and Prayers.

Pat, Dick was such a wonderful and courageous man. Getting to know him through the chancery was a gift to me. I will never forget his smiling face and good humor. Take peace in the thought that he is at peace now and out of pain.

I am truly sorry for the loss of Richard. Richard was a wonderful, thoughtful caring man. He was a person that loved his family and friends very much and always will! "They that Love beyond the World cannot be seperated by it. Death cannot kill what never dies."
I am honored to have known such a man. He as well as you and your family will forever be in my toughts and prayers. He was forever smiling when I saw him on good days or bad. I am so saddened yet smiling inside as I know my friend is now at peace. I as many, was blessed to have met such a great man. I also was very fortunate to have been able to share many discussions, hugs and some tears too, with Mr. O'Hearn. I am very thankful that I was able to tell him the impact he left on my life and how much I would miss him. He certainly was a wonderful and caring man, who adored his family and friends.. He will be greatly missed but has left a remarkable legacy. God Bless your family, and all of his friends. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I will remember him as I always do....
