Richard Osborn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 13 to Mar. 14, 2023.
Richard (Dick) Earl Osborn went to meet his Saviour on March 3, 2023 after a strenuous eight-year battle with heart failure. Richard was born July 20, 1941 to Earl and Anna Osborn in Bowling Green, Ohio. He graduated high school in Lima, Ohio and later earned a bachelor's degree at Pittsburgh State University in Kansas. Richard served in the U.S. air force from July 1959 until honorable discharge in July 1963 and settled in Joplin, Missouri with his first wife Mary Ann. He moved to the DFW area in the mid 70s where he met his soul mate June and married in August 1979. They lived in Southlake for 13 years, then Richland Hills for 25 years before moving to Bedford. Richard retired at the age of 78 from Simtek, Inc. where he worked as a shipping manager for more than 20 years. Richard is survived by spouse June. He is preceded in death by daughter Jenny Flint and survived by seven other children--Beth LePage, Roger Osborn, Melissa Shumaker, Lindy Martin, Christie Keay, Scott Brooks and Ryan Osborn. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and siblings Carole Grafton, Dorothy (Dot) Dupuy, and Marjorie (Margie) Wier.

A graveside service will be held in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association in memory of Richard and his hard-fought battle.
