Richard, may God grant you rest.

Where has the time gone! Sometimes when I close my eyes I can see your smiling face! I have missed your presence in the office! I know you were shinning down on us during OE! Although you are gone, you will never be forgotten!

I just happened to come across this obituary and was shocked. Richard was my upstairs neighbor for 8 years until I moved 2 years ago. He was a great neighbor and always helpful. I am so sorry I didn't know.

Your family has my deepest condolences. Words can not express the loss I feel with Richard's passing. Richard was my best friend. We met when we went to graduate school together at L.S.U. Richard was the hardest working person I have ever known. He worked hard, but he had a great sense of humor.

I have lived overseas for the past 10 years and just found about his passing tonight. Richard and I kept in touch even after I moved overseas and he said that he might come and visit me and wife in Taiwan one day.

I am truly devastated by his passing. I pray that God will help your family get through this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of working with Richard for a mutual client. He was so thoughtful, and always very helpful to me and our entire organization. He will be missed. Our deepest condolences to all of Richards family and colleagues.

Richard was a fantastic man. He was a good friend and former co-worker. He was very dedicated. He was also a generous man with a good heart. I'll always remember his obsession with Tabasco sauce. What a terrible loss and so young. You'll be missed buddy.

It was such a pleasure to work with Richard. I was so appreciative of his willingness to take time out of his very busy day to help me on so many occasions as I was learning my job. He had a wonderful sense of humor, which was such a blessing during the stressful days. His passing is such a loss to all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of sorrow. Richard was a mentor to me for Board activities at our Bennington Woods community. Very hard working, cared deeply, and always there when you needed him. He has done great thing for this community and will truly be missed.

Richard was one of a kind! We spent many hours working side by side! He used to make me laugh so hard I would cry. He would never let me walk in the dark alone. He would always drive me to my car where we would spend hours talking! Watching how he handled this sickness with such grace, and never one compliant truly showed me who he really was. I'm much better because of him. All I can say is although I'm so sad that you are gone my friend, I know you got your biggest reward which is a pair of wings!

I had the pleasure of working with Richard at Empowered Benefits. He will be dearly missed. I send you my prayers and condolences in this time of loss. Know that God will heal you in time, but most importantly that Richard aka "Oubre" as we affectionately called him :-) is watching over each of you forevermore. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." (Psalm 18:2)

I was given the privilege to be a co-worker and friend of Richard over the past 15 years. I can see his cheerful smile and hear his laugh and will miss seeing him at our former CA employee dinners here in Charlotte. He was liked by everyone and I will miss him. May God provide your family peace during this difficult time.

I was honored to have worked closely with Richard for a while at Empowered Benefits, and was amazed by his clear-headed approach to dealing with the cancer. He taught us all a lot about dedication, priorities, and commitment to good friends. I will miss my friend Richard.

Words cannot express my admiration for Richard. He was kind, humble, and one of the hardest working people I have ever known. He will be truly missed and never forgotten. Heaven just gained an angel.

Richard used to jokingly say that God broke the mold when he made him. Richard, it's true, God did break the mold with you. Richard was such an amazing person. He was one of the most sincere, kindhearted, generous, and thoughtful people I have ever met.

Richard was the kind of friend everyone wanted to have and that everyone wanted to be. He was the kind of friend that would stay up late with you to solve a problem and wouldn't rest until everything was figured out. He was the kind of friend that would comfort you when everything seemed impossible and you were ready to give up. He was the one that had the best jokes and sense of humor and would make you laugh until you cried.

Richard will truly be missed and I am a better person for knowing him and having him as a dear friend.

I am a new employee at Empowered Benefits and did not know Richard very long, but in the short time that I worked with him, his strength and wit were definitely the traits I saw most. There was no quit in Richard, he was always looking forward and moving on to get things done. All the while, cracking jokes extending a smile and saying "Hi". He has definitely left a mark with me and he will be truly missed. May God bless him and his family.

I worked with Richard both as a client and as a colleague. He was super dedicated to his work and contributed above and beyond what anyone would expect. He advised and guided our team on so many topics and we truly miss having him here with us. Despite his battle with cancer over the past year, he was still driven to work as hard as he could. We grieve with his family as his battle has ended, but know that he is at peace now. May God comfort you in this time of loss.
