Dick Poff was an amazing man with a stellar career. I remember him from my years as a small child, when he and my father (Poff Simpson of Floyd County, VA) would gather with colleagues to plan political events. In fact, I have a photograph of him with my father that I display in my home. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I know you are so very proud of his life and accomplishments.

I will always remember the good comments about Mr. Poff during our Conner/Poff family get togethers. My grandmother was Ila Gay Poff Conner. I also remember the many times he stopped to talk to me on the streets in Richmond. He was agreat person.

Richard was my first cousin and, although I had not seen him for many years, I remember him well. He was truly one of the "good guys," and my family has always been so very proud of him. We send love and sympathy to all of our Poff cousins whom we would so like to meet some day.
