Richard Pyles Obituary
NEWARK: A memorial service for Richard " Rick" D. Pyles, III, 44 of Newark will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Newark Chapel Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Eric Miller officiating.
Rick died Tuesday August 30, 2016 at the Kindred Transitional and Rehabilitation Center- Newark. He was born March 4, 1972 in Newark to Richard D. "Gomer" and Martha L. (Johnson) Pyles, Jr. of Newark.
Rick had attended Lakewood and Zanesville High School. He had been employed by 84 Lumber, Scott Lumber, Pizza Hut, Johnny John's Smorgasbord and Schmidt's Sausage Haus. He enjoyed bowling and billiards and had earned several trophies. He had a very generous spirit and helped serve community Thanksgiving Day meals.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, William (Joan) Pyles of Gambier; aunt & uncle, Jerry (Sharon) Bentley of Heath; cousins, Kimberly Denton and Karla Johnson of Mesquite, TX, Karen Johnson of Yucaipa, CA; nieces, Shay Parsley and Hailey Kabbia.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, John Vernon (Lillian M.) Johnson, Richard D. (Glena Mae) Pyles, Sr.
Calling hours will be observed Friday from 6 pm until services at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio.

My heart goes out to you Martha... Rick will be greatly missed by both me & Mike. He and I spent countless hours talking about everything under the sun & never once had a disagreement. We supported each other through tough times & laughed together through good ones. I can only imagine the pain & loss you're feeling but he is at peace. May god be with you at this difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss... One of my favorite pics is of me and Rick sitting on the couch at my house, I was about 4 and rick 3 I think. Mom was trying to get a pic but rick wouldn't look up or smile. Mom told me to make him smile, so I put my arm around him and he must have thought it hysterical! Biggest open mouthed smile ever, it is such a cute picture! That's how I will remember him! Laughing! all my love....
