Casey,
Just look how your father touched so many lives! And just think...this is only a very few of the many many people who probably never met your dad but loved him all the same. I am one of those people. He made me laugh so many times! And, one thing came through the airwaves...your father truly cared about the people who called in every week. He was a character :) Be proud of your dad and especially the fact that you were the love of his life. I, like others, could tell by his voice that he was smiling every time he spoke of you. You, your mother and family are in my family's, and so many others', prayers.

Dear Abby & Casey, and family,
Even though we have never met in person, I feel as if I know you. Richard never knew a stranger and made you feel as if you were family everyday. I have listened to Richard for 20 years and been a faithful listener to WXBQ for over 32 years. Richard and Bill and all the gals made a great team, Steve and Richard always knew how to lift your spirits in the mornings. They made a great team too. My favorite memory was the first Saturday Night that Casey got to be on the air. I want to say it was the week she was born. That beautiful memory has stuck with me. I believe his words were,"I cant believe we got her on and she made a sound." He was a very proud daddy that Saturday night. My heart is heavy as I share your loss. I know who holds tomorrow and is holding you close during this difficult time. I believe God is carrying you and keeping you close to His heart. My family will be praying you during the upcoming days and weeks. Thank you for sharing Richard with all of us. And Casey...we all know how much he loved you and your mom. He will be missed tremendously.

Sorry to hear of your loss, but thanks for sharing him with all of us. I rode a bus from Bristol to Charlotte NC. with Richard many years ago to see a Nascar Race. I won the tickets off of the radio. He made the trip so enjoyable. He was more fun to listen to than the race. Again I am so sorry for your loss, but know he is in Gods hands now.

I feel like I am going to mimic alot of what everyone said in earlier posts. Hearing of the death of Richard was a shock to everyone. I had listened to him on WXBQ and when he moved to WAXM. I always loved listening to Casey's Corner on Saturday nights. I figure it is going to be a sight at heaven's gates with Bill, Richard and of course Ruby all there together again. Casey, when you need to talk to your daddy, all you have to do is whisper, and when you want to see him, all you have to do is dream! Peace and love to you baby girl! You have the best kind of guardian angel there is, her daddy!

Abby, Casey & The Quillen Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We pray that you will find comfort in our Lord during this difficult time. Richard was a funny man and always had a smile on his face. You could tell in his voice the love that he had for his family and that Casey was the light of his world. We always enjoyed listening to him on Saturday night and loved Casey's Corner. We often talked about how we felt there was never a dull moment at the Quillen House with the things that Casey and Richard shared on the show. We loved to hear them laugh together, it thrilled our hearts. Hold on to all the many memories and we as his fans will as well. May God bless you all.

What a loss we are all sharing, but most of all his dearest family are suffering the most. Words are never adequate at a time like this. My consolations are the memories such as Bill and Richard together (what a team!), Casey trick or treating at Halloween at our door, Casey and William crawling under my coffee table playing together, Casey eating cheese stuffed crust from our pizza, Abby and Richard getting introduced, then getting married, the birth of Casey, Richard's eulogy at Bill's Celebration of Life, and memories, and memories, and memories. Memories can be sweet and memories can be bitter. I pray the sweet one's are stronger and sustain you during this time along with God's help. I will pray for you daily, because prayers do help. I believe Richard and Bill are together once again and quite a pair!
I love each of you,
