It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard John Rafter, of Kitchener, at the age of 73. Predeceased by his parents Kay and Mort Rafter. Brother to Tom (Joan) and Karen. He is survived by his two children, Jenny and Brian. Richard was a hard worker and self-employed, subflooring specialist. He died suddenly of heart failure at a work site in Atwood on December 4. He was a horse racing enthusiast, an avid golfer, fisherman, hockey player, and a friend to many. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held. A celebration honouring his memory will take place at Kennedy's, 1750 Erb's Rd St Agatha, ON on Saturday, December 17th from 1-3 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St. N., Breslau, 519 904 0400.

The team at Carey Homes will miss Richard greatly. We had the honor of working with him for the past 15 years! Richard was a great man and the King will be forever missed. Our condolences go out to the Rafter Family.
