Richard Reil Obituary
Richard was the son of Dorothy and Richard Reil, also a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Richard is survived by his two daughters, Linda Brophy and husband Christopher, and Pam Eggleton and husband Colin, three grandchildren, Thomas Brophy, Bryce Eggleton, and Briana Eggleton and two great grandchildren, Roman Brophy and Dakota Brophy.
Dick, as most people called him, was born in Keene, NH. His parents moved to Framingham, MA where he spent 30 years driving for General Motors, transporting cars across the southeastern United States and parts of Canada. Dick married Marie LeBlanc in 1953 and raised his family in Ashland, MA on Waushakum Lake where the family boated, fished, waterskied and ice skated.
He spent many years participating in a number of sports, including baseball, hockey, hunting, fishing, and skeet/trap shooting. Dick won many awards and contests for his skill in trap and skeet shooting competitions. He also was known to wield a competitive cue stick at area pool establishments.
There will be a graveside prayer service on Monday, April 8 at 10 AM at Dodge Cemetery in Sutton, MA, where he will be interred with his wife of 70 years.
