I am very saddened to learn of Rick's passing and my thoughts and prayers are with Diana and family. I had the great pleasure of living with Rick for 2 years while we attended NIU (1974-6) and later stayed with Rick and Diana for 6 weeks in Austin (1980). Rick's generosity, sense of humor, gentle spirit, and devotion to and love for Diana were a gift to experience and an inspiration to follow. Though we fell out of touch, I'm not surprised to learn that Rick's determination and dedication to others touched the lives of so many in such a positive way. Wonderful memories of our crazy yet purposeful, whimsical and loving household on Lincoln Highway in DeKalb. Blessings to Rick, Diana, Lyndsey, and Steven.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Rick's passing. Who could forget your wonderful family, especially your sweet children. I still recall the kindness of Rick and you, Diana, when I was awaiting surgery at Seton way back in 2002. You may not remember, but Rick gave us parking passes, and you came and sat with me while I waited to go to the OR. It meant a lot. You were always one of my favorite "Hill Families". I hope time will ease the pain and let the happy memories be the ones you remember. Love to all.

So sad to learn of Rick's death. While working at Seton, Rick always had a smile for everyone he passed in the halls. Diana, my thoughts are with you as you adjust to life without your wonderful husband.
