Richard "Rich" Allan Kolb

Rich passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Toni and Trish House with his family by his side at the age of 73 years. He was born in Bay City on February 3, 1949 to the late Clarence and Helen (Draves) Kolb. On February 19, 1983 he married the former Patricia Rae Salas and they were married for 39 years. Rich worked and retired from Dow Chemical Company in Midland and was a life-long WELS Lutheran. He was a member of the NRA and a lover of pets and a true family man. Rich enjoyed hiking, bicycling, campfires and doing yard work. He also enjoyed amusement parks including his favorite, Cedar Point.

Rich is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, David Allan; sister, Merrilyn (Duane) Cedarblade; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Seafert) Kolb; brother, Dale Kolb; sister, Coreen (Kolb) Gillespie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Kolb; sister-in-law, Barb Kolb and brother-in-law, Ray Gillespie.

At the request of Rich, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Joel Pankow with private inurnment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
