Richard (Rick) Combs Obituary
Richard (Rick) Allen Combs, age 66 of Jonesborough, TN passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at his home.
Rick was the only child of the late Charles Garfield Combs.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 20 years, Tina Marie Combs; his mother, Ola Nell Harris; his son, Wesley Allen Combs; step-daughters, Christy Marie Oaks, Elizabeth Diane and life partner Allison Franks; step-sons, Michael Jamison Trivett and Christopher Lee Trivett; step-grandchildren, Zackery and Lydia; step-great grandchildren, Lily and Luke.
Rick loved camping, riding motorcycles and going to the beach. He especially enjoyed being around friends and family.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 7:00pm on Wednesday February 1 2023 at Crosspoint Church, 111 Conley Road, Jonesborough, TN. Family will receive friends from 6pm to 7pm prior to the service.
His wife is grateful for the caring professionals of Amedisys for all their guidance and support.

Tina and Wes--please accept my deepest condolences. Rick was a character. He seemed to know everyone. Wherever we went out for lunch someone always said hello. He had an odd balance of being frank and friendly, gruff and sensitive, stubborn and concerned. He made an impression always, and cared deeply for those he loved. As the old saying goes, when he was born they broke the mold. And the world is a little less colorful with his loss. My heart goes out to you. I pray for warm memories, comfort and peace in the days ahead. Blessings!
