Big-hearted, occasionally outlandish, professional successes and failures, we talked about his losing his father as a toddler and his wanting to know him and what the legacy to Rick was. I lost my father as a teenager so we shared outlooks and stories of the men who stood up for and guided us.

Judy and I have been so saddened to hear of Ricky's passing. He and his brother Terry Trice were all good high school friends and I remember his father Weldon Trice when he was at West Texas A&M while I was attending school there. May God bless his sons still living and his mother in Canyon.
