Still miss you Ric.

Through Rich and Isa, and Dance Alive around 1997 was the beginning of my interaction with these lovely friends and UF. It was the beginning of a twenty-year friendship. You are always on my mind! Love, Welson

Ric, a person of love, care, and extreme talent! His smile and pleasant persona echoes inside my soul.

To the family and friends of Ric Rose, I was a fellow MFA student at Connecticut College where we worked intensely together for a year. It feels like I knew him for a much much longer period of time because of how special a place he has held in my heart since then. He was an absolute joy to work with, a generous and empathetic friend, and a gifted dancer. I am so saddened by the news of his passing. I send my love to Ric's wife and family.

Ric,
I had the distinct pleasure and honor of sharing the stage with you in A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings at the Hippodrome, where you fittingly played an angel. You were a kind, giving and beautiful scene partner. I will always remember you for that smile you carried at all times, your warmth to me and all of your students. Seeing you again many years after graduating was a highlight of my return to UF, and I feel privileged to have had more time with you.

I remember the words I said about your character in that play we did, and they ring true now. No one owns angels, they belong to the world. Rest Easy, sir. You are missed.

To Ric... As your high school dance partner in Lewisburg Summer Theatre over 40 years ago, I remember your joy, your silliness, (somehow we always landed the comedic roles) and your amazing talent. We went our separate but parallel ways, and as I read everyone's remembrances of your life well lived, I know that you never changed. You inspired everyone to remember to smile, create, and dance like know one is watching just for the pure and simple joy of it! You are missed my old friend. Sally

Dearest Isa, our hearts are broken at the loss of beautiful Ric....his tenderness and caring shone through to every life he touched. He was one of the true jewels in our world...a generous, gentle man who shall stay with us forever.

Dear Ric, Your love of life was such that it touched us all. Even with the most fleeting of contacts, the briefest of friendships as we passed through UF, your joy blessed our lives and we were richer for it. Always in our hearts, your legacy of love will continue.

Dear dear Ric. You gave so much to so many, taking us by the hand to golden worlds that are fresh and filled with new beginnings. You will be engraved upon our hearts forevevr. Marilyn

Memories include Rik's outrageously funny antics on stage, his thoughtfulness as a teacher and his commitment to dance. A fine legacy but too short.

Rick, you were such a special person and so loved by many. Thank you for bringing light and love to people's lives and sharing your many gifts. How lucky you and Isa were to have experienced true love during your time here. You were blessed.

Ric Rose, thank you for the kindness, the art, the joy and tenacity you put in everything you did in life. May you rest in peace and may you continue to live in your legacy and the memories of those who survive you. Love to them and to you.

May you continue to guide our creative journeys, as we reflect on the memories of your gentle wisdom, your sparkling wit, and your ever-present words of assurance. We love you to the moon and back. Rest in peace, sweet friend.
