Richard Salsburg Obituary
Mr. Salsburg, 73, died June 11.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., he lived in Short Hills before moving to West Orange last year.
As a graduate of Syracuse University and the University of Virginia School of Law, he was a founding partner of Mandelbaum, Salsburg, Lazris and Discenza Law Firm of West Orange.
He was a member of Temple B'nai Jeshurun and served on the boards of Jewish Family Service Agency of Metrowest, Crohn and Colitis Foundation, D.A.R.E. and the Mental Health Association of Essex County.
He also was a trustee of Greenbrook Country Club in North Caldwell.
Mr. Salsburg is survived by his wife, Ellen; two sons, Greg and Josh; a sibling, Terry Nelson; and two grandchildren.

I was a legal secretary @ MSGLDS in WO many yrs ago & had the pleasure at that time to, at times, do work for Mr. Salsburg. It is w/great sadness that I read of his passing. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word. My condolences to his family.

I have known Dick since we were little kids.We were good friends in high school.Barbara and I went to his first wedding while I was studying for the Bar exam. We lost contact in the following years, but renewed our friendship whenever he was in Pa. and we would Run into him. The Photo is at Barbara and Sandy's sweet sixteen party.Dick was Sandy's date. We lost Sandy earlier this year, and now Dick is gone. He was a good guy, fun to be with and we will miss him even though we saw little of him in recent years. We were out of the Country and just learned of his death.

I was Dick's Associate from 1990 to 1993. He was my mentor and my friend. Dick taught me about the law and began my love of fine wine. Although I lost touch with him over the past few years, I thought of him often. My condolences to the Salsburg family. We've all lost a talented attorney and a friend.
