Dear Dad (and Grandpa) Sexton,
This week has made me realize I've known you a long time - I will always remember how you went out of your way to make me feel a welcome part of the family - especially at the first family Thanksgiving I came to at TroutFarm Lane. And all of the times you took Richard and I sailing in Duxbury Bay - you loved that boat so much and were such a great sailor! I know you were a good dad - because you raised such a great son who is a wonderful husband and father! We will all miss you - love, Cheryl (and Claire and Amelia)

Venice, children and grandchildren,
Dick was always a friend seeking life to its fullest. He was an asset to his friends in Wendell Park. He will be missed greatly by all of us. Please accept our condolences. Frank & Lois Miller

Dear Dad;

We've just returned home to NC from your funeral and it still hasn't sunk in that you are gone. There is so much to remember and smile about..your love of your family and wife, your love of the ocean, your passion for nature in all its expressions. So many memories come crashing in like a flood...Your visit to Northwestern with Mom and Uncle Charlie, to see my graduate and meet Cheryl for the first time. Our dinner together at Windows To The World in the WTC. Sailing with you and marvelling at your effortless expertise. Sitting in front of the fire in Duxbury in the dead of Winter.

So much to think back and reflect upon. You gave us all a great gift, but you left us too soon, and your family misses you with an overwhelming grief. We love you.

Dad,
you touched my children more than I ever realized, and we are all missing you. I have you to thank for my love of the sea, the beach, sailing, hiking, family outings and camping adventures. This legacy is also a gift to your grandchildren. While we mourn our loss, we know that your brothers, sister and parents are rejoicing that you have joined them in eternity.
