RICHARD V. "DICK" on Feb. 27, 2011 of Glenside. Dick was the owner of Budget Rent A Car of Abington and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Husband of the late Catherine "Cass" (nee Mulhern) Sheehan. Devoted father of Colleen Provost, Richard (Rosemarie) Sheehan, Diane (Keith) Ashlock and Brian (Cindy) Sheehan. Cherished grandfather of Jay, Julie, Kelly, Cindy, Ricky, Jason, Justin, Jessica, Ashley and Joshua. Loving great grandfather of Michael, Rocco, William, Matthew, Taylor and Cyrus. Brother of Jack and the late Gordon. Survived by nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends in Church Monday after 9 A.M., followed by his Funeral Mass 10 A.M., St. Luke the Evangelist Church, Easton Rd. and Fairhill Ave., Glenside, 19038. Int. Holy Sepulchre Cem. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick's name may be sent to YMCA for Active Older Adults, 1073 Old York Rd., Abington, PA 19001.

I was so sorry to hear about Dick's passing. I think fondly of the Sheehan family often and because of them, I have made car rental my career for the last 24 years. Dick,Bryan, Colleen and Cindy taught me alot and it was a pleasure to work for them. It is why I have my own agency today. Dick was a warm and caring man and I am privledged to have known him. Please accept my condolences for your loss.

GP was a good man and will be missed. He was a beloved member of our extended family. I will remember him always with his big smile and cheerful disposition.
