Richard Springman Obituary
Murrayville - Richard D. Springman, 76, of Murrayville passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing Center. He was born, May 23, 1946, in Carrollton, the son of Elmer and Hazel Canatsey Springman. He married, Linda Loy, the mother of his four children and they later divorced. He married, Peggy Jo Mitchell, Mar. 31, 1984.
Surviving is wife, Peggy of Murrayville; children, Jeremy, Heather, Aaron and Andrew Springman; stepchildren, Francis (Butch) Coats, Angela Meyers, Thomas Coats, and Joseph "J.C." Coats; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Billy and Charles Springman
Richard was an Army veteran. He was employed by Mobil Chemical for many years and was a member of the American Legion in Jacksonville.
Cremation rights have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Camp Butler in Springfield. Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.dawsfuneralhome.com
