Today, I want to wish you a Happy Birthday, Rusty... I am very fortunate to have you as my brother and my mentor during my early years when you were home and around to entertain us younger siblings. Thank you, Rusty, for the many cherished memories that are too long to list. I miss you, brother!

A year has come and gone, Rusty. Your presence has been greatly missed. I thought of you often, remembering the bits and pieces of the highlights you have inspired us all with those wonderful moments - whenever I see magic tricks, acrobatics, strength feats, and movies that remind me of the things you have done in the past. Those times with you were short and sweet, and as I have grown older over the past year, I have longed to share more time to spend with you alone or as a family once more. Thank you, once again for being a true brother to me by watching over me during my early youth. Till next time, Rusty.

Merry Christmas, Rusty... I had wished we had more time to know more about your earliest Christmases when you were the only one before us... That must've been magical (as my sister described it) with just the three of you...

I am so fortunate to have Rusty as my oldest Brother... while my parents were caught up with their hobbies and work, he was always available to help and be there for us... as being the youngest, he was my teacher, guide, protector, brother, and friend... He introduced me to the fitness regime by starting me out on this original 44lbs set with various exercises at the age of 8... because of him, I still workout with the some of the original exercises... Always remembered fondly of the late-night horror movies that comes on after 11pm when he come get me and my sister to watch the Mummy or Frankenstein... Always remembered the fireworks that he had created in his lab for the fourth of Julys... He was just as amazing as my dad with a variety of hobbies... he was adept in car mechanic, that I remembered he had bought a CJ-5 Jeep and took out a 350 V8 engine block from a Chevy and able to install in this jeep... by the time he was done, that was one powerful Jeep with so much torque... There were so much I could add that I had come to realize how lucky I was to have him as my brother... Thank you, brother, for being there as I was growing up struggling to find my footing... You made my growing-up years easier to handle... I miss you, friend, with my brotherly heart and love I have for you each passing day... See you one day, once again to guide us to the hereafter...

Seems impossible that Rusty has been gone over 7 months. He was a wonderful brother. He had many different hobbies and interests throughout his life that he shared with those around him. Magic tricks, love of Elvis, playing board and card games, movies, making firework displays starting in his teenage years, had a green thumb - trees would survive even if the bulk of the root wasn´t there, fearless in all of his pursuits- the list and memories could go on and on. I miss and love you and God willing will see you again in the hereafter.
