Richard Tanner Obituary
Richard J. "Dick" Tanner, age 91, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 8100 Belden Blvd.; Cottage Grove with visitation beginning an hour prior to the service.
Dick was born May 12, 1932, in Minneapolis, MN to Roy Tanner and Anna (Ness) Tanner. He was raised in Mondovi, WI. In July 1966, Dick was united in marriage to Patricia Bathke. He worked for the federal government for 44 years before retiring. Dick was also active in the hockey programs locally and district wide.
He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Anna Tanner; brother, John and sister, Kay Marra. Survived by wife, Patricia; children, LeighAnn (Brian) Kearney, Bob and Rick (Tou); grandchildren, Shaun, Brandon (Alexa), Tyler Kearney, Savannah, Leif Tanner and sister, Jean Eide.
