Brilliant,fun ,artistic and scientific in equal measure

I met Richard Thomas only once. That time was at the wedding of his only daughter Althea. Many of the attributes ascribed to him in the obituary are shared by his daughter: persistence, curiosity, humor, a passion for justice, and a general love for all. He lived a rich and rewarding life. May we all be so blessed.

To Richard's Daughter, Althea and other Family members. I am one of the many Friends who is a Porta Coeli Resident, who had the Pleasure of knowing Mr. Richard Thomas as a neighbor and friend. He was a Wonderful, Friendly, and very Vibrant neighbor. My time shared with Richard was so enlightened, as he shared his Rich History with truth and pride. He would take me on his life journey with stories, where I met family and friends, and would marvel at his Adventures. He was a Great Story Teller! I purchased his Inspired Art Piece that he was so proud of, as well as several of my friends. Mine is framed and hanging in a special place in my home. I'll remember him always. May you be Blessed with Peace and find Comfort in the Wonderful wealth of Memories you hold of your Dad.

Richard and I met as tenets of the Mahalia Jackson´s Apartment, many years ago. We share a close friendship bond, making many precious memories. He loved meeting new people and learning new things. My life is better enhanced for knowing Mr Richard Thomas, his son, Minor and daughter, Althea.

Beautiful eulogy. Ive learned more about my friend, Richard Thomas. I feel grateful to have known him although I've only known for just a few years. My condolences to the family as they continue on without the Friendly Storyteller.
